I have mentioned on previous posts that my son McKay has taken up drumming and that his interest has caused me to re-cultivate the drumming talents I had when I was young. Some of you may not know that I was a music major for two years in college and quite an accomplished percussionist. Now McKay has become quite good. I play in the Prince William Concert Band and am rehearsing regularly with two local jazz groups. This new interest has brought a spark to my life and I'm really enjoying it. Don't know why I gave it up in the first place.
This week I rolled out the new website for my drum studio. I'm planning to take on some students and get McKay and other young drummers together for performances. If you're interested, take a look at it and leave a comment in my guest book.
